Dongo-Paco Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship cuts across all the educational programs within the institute, yet due consideration will be given to the course that we envisage to be the engine of development in this community.
The Goal of the Scholarship
2.1. Goal
To give opportunity for the most Vulnerable youth and make them able to lead themselves sustained life.
2.2. Objective
The project is to provide access to training and education so that the youth can
have productive, healthy lives and a sustainable source of income.
Target Groups and Beneficiaries
The scholarship will cover the youths from Adilang Sub-county in Agago district and the following are the categories to be considered;
- Age 15-24 years old
- Equal opportunity for Both Girls and Boys
- At least Uganda Certificate of Education (S.4) for certificate courses
- Live within the project location
- With poor economic background (Double orphan children, Single parents without the capacity to pay, Child-headed families, disabled poor parents, etc.)
- Demonstrated talented child but whose parents have no capacity to pay fees
- Child mothers/Youth who have a strong desire to change their lives and have interest in Vocational Training
How to Apply for the Scholarship
The scholarship application starts in December to January each year and the candidates will be identified through existing structures in the community such as;
- Through the Volunteers of Dongo Paco
- Through the Local Council systems
- The church leadership and local government structures.
- Through other Community-Based Organizations within the catchment area.
- Through schools that are in partnership with the AVTI.
- Candidates who express their interest through the school.
